CIB Egypt allocates EGP 11 m to equip two units at Shefaa Al Orman Hospital under CSR

CIB Egypt Foundation has allocated EGP 11 million to equip and operate two units for children cancer treatment at Shefaa Al Orman Hospital.

The two units – that were opened on Monday – would help treating about 900 children annually.

Amr El Ganainy, the CEO of the CIB Institutional Banking, attended the inauguration of the two units along with CIB Chief Sustainability Officer Dalia Abdel Kader, and other senior officials of the bank.

The foundation equipped a unit for inpatient residency and another for day care.

The day care unit is equipped in line with the highest international standards, while the inpatient residency unit includes a number of rooms with each room comprising two beds for residency of children who are receiving chemical medicine and radiation.

This proves the CIB’s keenness on effective contribution to serving the community. The bank is keen on developing distinguished medical services to improve the community’s conditions and upgrade the medical services offered to children.

The bank has allocated 1.5% of its annual net profits to developing medical services for children.

The CIB Foundation has copped several prestigious awards from prominent institutions in appreciation of its contributions to Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) activities.

The CIB Foundation has achieved a pioneering role in supporting state efforts in the health sector, especially the services offered to children.

For his part, Amr El Ganainy, the CEO of the CIB Institutional Banking, expressed happiness for the bank’s contribution to equipping this medical edifice in Upper Egypt in accordance with the Egyptian state’s vision to upgrade the health sector and secure decent life for Egypt’s children.
