CSR Egypt took part in the 5th Vocational Education Forum – which is organized by the Literacy Committee of Rotary Egypt Club District 2451 under the theme of gearing up youths to join labor market.
The event is held under the patronage of Rotary Egypt Club District 2451 Governor Sherif Wali and Education Minister Tareq Shawqy.
Deputy Education Minister for vocational education Mohamed Megahed attended the event alongside President of the General Authority for Adult Education Ashour Ahmed and a cluster of officials from the public and private sectors interested in developing education in Egypt.
CSR Egypt Chairman Hassan Moustafa also attended the event in which all Rotary Clubs took part.
The forum is meant to shed light on the role played by the government and the private sector in developing the educational mechanism, fitting its out with top-notch technology and honing skills of teachers.
The get-together also focused on upgrading technical and vocational education in addition to professional training which is funded by the Egyptian government and the European Union.
The event also shed light on “the University to Work (UTW) Initiative” which was launched by the Engineering Consultants Group” in April 2010 which aimed at integrating the role of universities, private sectors and community institutions in providing the market with a high-quality and efficient vocational education and skills development to induct engineering students, and get them well-qualified for the labor market in accordance with the national Egyptian goals and priorities.
