Ahmed Samir, the executive manager of the Consumer Protection Agency (CPA) and board member of the Egyptian Competition Authority, obtained the PhD degree in business administration from Cairo University for his research on the impact of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) practices on employees’ satisfaction and customer loyalty.

The study – which was examined in car assembling plants in Egypt – underlined that CSR is not confined to developing society, it also addresses work practices, working environment, consumer issues, institutional governance and human rights in line with ISO 26000 Guidance on social responsibility.

The researcher called for preparing a state strategy to pinpoint the role of the private sector in CSR and map out projects that the private sector should accomplish within the framework of the state sustainable development strategy 2030 with its social, economic and environmental axes.

The researcher underlined the positive relationship between applying CSR with various dimensions and the satisfaction of employees and customer loyalty.
