Egypt will establish the first green forest in Afirca and the Middle East at 3-billion-pound investments.

Misr Italia Properties – a leading real estate developer in Egypt – signed a cooperation agreement with Stefano Boeri Architetti to establish the vertical forest in Egypt’s New Administrative Capital within the framework of the IL Bosco project which Misr Italia launched in July in the new capital. Il Bosco is the first integrated natural community in Egypt.

At a press conference, Misr  Italia Properties CEO Mohamed el Assal said the company is expected to start the establishment of the forest in 2020 and accomplish it in 2023.

He said the project will contribute to developing the Egyptian real estate sector with an aim to promote the state’s plan to achieve environmental sustainability.

He said the company is keen on establishing eco-friendly communities with green landscape.

The project will be managed by a five-star hotel having a trademark.

Meanwhile, Stefano Boeri Architetti CEO Stefano Boeri said the forest is designed  to have three 30-meter-high buildings with plants spreading everywhere, including even balaconies and windows, to reduce air pollution in line with the Sustainable Development Goals.
