He made the remarks while commenting on an important visit by Switzerland’s Federal Councillor Guy Parmelin, Head of the Federal Department of Economic Affairs, Education, and Research and his accompanying delegation to Elsewedy Technical Academy (STA).

Elsewedy said “quality education is the main factor for realizing comprehensive development and sustainable growth in Egypt.”

Parmelin’s visit underlined his country’s support for technical and vocational education in Egypt, especially through its cooperation with Elsewedy Technical Academy (STA), Elsewedy said.

Swiss Ambassador in Cairo Paul Garnier, who accompanied Parmelin during the visit, said ” Switzerland, as one of pioneering world countries in the field of technical and vocational education and training, is proud to cooperate with the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) and STA to offer a chance of high-quality technical training and education for Egyptian youth in line with international standards.”
