MIDBANK head: Expansion plans in Egypt with new CSR concept
MIDBANK Board Chairman and Managing Director Amr Garhy said the bank plans to expand its activities in the Egyptian market with a new Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) concept.
In statements to CSR Egypt, he said CSR is not propaganda for the body which launches it. It is, however, an exigency in the current stage.
He stressed that all bodies should consider their CSR role within a cooperative framework serving the whole society.
MIDBANK is currently coordinating with the Federation of Egyptian banks the launch of several initiatives, he added.
These statements came on the back of the bank’s introduction of a new trademark to the Egyptian market under the slogan “Empowering Your Future”.
The bank’s ambitious strategy is meant to realize comprehensive development and growth coping with the aspirations of the Central Bank of Egypt (CBE) with regard to upgrading the Egyptian banking sector to adopt up-to-date international technology.
The bank gives a top priority for developing the technological infrastructure to gear up for launching the latest banking products and services to customers.
He expounded that MID Bank seeks to enhance its market share by focusing on all banking sectors, including the corporate sector, small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), and the retail banking sector.
As part of its comprehensive development strategy, MIDBANK has recently introduced a number of new sectors and departments, in addition to restructuring some others. The bank has also got several highly-competent elements in the banking sector to lead these sectors and departments.
He added that diversity in the customer base and the enhancement of the bank’s banking activity are at the top of the bank’s current priorities, which will contribute to supporting digital transformation and financial inclusion plans. This comes in light of the state and CBE’s strategic drive to magnify the benefit for all sectors of society, and achieve sustainable growth.
