Sona3 El Khair Foundation managed to extend aid to the farthest Egyptian village on the Egyptian-Sudanese borderline; Ras Hardbah.

The assistance is offered within the framework of a wide-scale humanitarian aid campaign launched by the foundation in Halayeb and Shalatin.

The foundation’s development adviser Essam Abdel Rahman said the three-day aid convoy – From June 24 to June 26 – included 415 food packages and five tons of wheat and one ton of flour.

He said the foundation sent the aid to the border village which is one of the most needy area.

He noted that the humanitarian convoys also reached other needy villages near the Egyptian-Sudanese borders.

The foundation has also launched the largest development campaign in Halayeb and Shalatin where 2000 food packages were distributed in tandem with the Kuwait Office For Charity Projects, he said, noting that eight water refining stations were set up.

The foundation has also launched a major initiative on the causes behind blindness under the patronage of cabinet. Over 4000 citizens underwent check-ups, while 250 underwent surgeries for free.
