The 5th Forum on Strategies for Transition to Green Economy kicked off on Tuesday under the patronage of the Social Solidarity Ministry.
The event – organized by CSR Egypt – is held under the theme of Green DNA “Sustainable Finance and Impact Investment”.
CSR Egypt CEO Hassan Moustafa attended the opening session along with Egyptian Exchange (EGX) Chairman Ramy El Dokani, General Supervisor of the Grand Egyptian Museum Atef Moftah, General Coordinator of Egypt’s Initiative for Smart Green Projects Ambassador Hisham Badr, and President of the Egyptian Institute of National Planning Dr. Ashraf El Araby.
The forum is held at a timing when Egypt is taking robust steps towards localizing the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and turning to green economy through several mechanisms and strategies aiming at accelerating this transition and mobilizing all the parties concerned to magnify investment revenues in the green economy domain.
The one-day gathering includes discussion panels on green financing products and the importance of technical support to ensure a sustainable impact.
The event also reviews offers of the Smart Green Projects Initiative as well as sustainable growth opportunities in sectors that are most attractive to responsible investments and green supply chains.
