Credit Agricole 1st bank in Egypt to get US green building LEED certificate

Credit Agricole Egypt has obtained the LEED certification from the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC) for its new “Madinaty Open-Air Mall” branch, marking the first retail branch for a bank to receive it in Egypt.

The award recognizes the branch’s adherence to rigorous standards and criteria across various categories such as location, materials, indoor quality, innovation, and more.

LEED is a globally recognized symbol of sustainability achievement and leadership, where LEED-certified buildings are designed to minimize the use of energy and water, reduce greenhouse gas emissions, and create healthier environments for employees.

The certification process for Credit Agricole branch was a challenging yet rewarding journey, demanding meticulous attention to detail and unwavering adherence to the stringent standards outlined by the LEED rating system.

Every facade of the branch’s design and construction was examined to ensure the highest sustainability standards were met. Additionally, Credit Agricole placed paramount importance on integrating sustainable strategies and cutting-edge technologies from the branch’s inception to its completion. The commitment to implementing a wide array of sustainable solutions was solid, reflecting Credit Agricole’s dedication to minimizing its environmental impact and nurturing a green and sustainable future.
