CSR Arabia will take part in the World Entrepreneurs Investment Forum 2019 (WEIF 2019) which is due to be held in Bahrain on November 11 through 13 under the patronage of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa of Bahrain.

The event – which will coincide with the 18 t hArab Annual Investors Summit – is organized by UNIDO ITPO Bahrain, in partnership with the Union of Arab Chambers and the support of the Bahrain Chamber of Commerce & Industry.

Building on the success achieved during the previous WEIFs; this year’s main theme is “Achieving the SDGs through Entrepreneurship & Innovation” but with special focus on “Investing in the 4th Industrial Revolution in a Digital Economy”. Hence, the forum will emphasize the pressing need to promote domestic investment for leveraging foreign direct investment, thus leading to job creation, but in the context of the challenges and opportunities laid out by the 4th Industrial Revolution (4IR).

Hassan Moustafa, the Founder of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Annual Forum and CEO of CSR Egypt and CSR Arabia, will participate in the event to share his story of success in contributing to the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and capitalizing on modern technology to implement CSR initiatives and promote innovation and creativity.

Moustafa will attend the forum’s fifth session which will be held on November 13 under the theme of “Best Practices towards achieving the Sustainable Development Goal 9: Industry, innovation and infrastructure.”

WEIF 2019 will promote and highlight the role of impactful investment and innovation towards economic development and achieving the Sustainable Development Goals, while showcasing the current challenges and opportunities towards sustainable economic development in developing countries, particularly in the Middle East, North Africa, and Sub-Saharan Africa. The challenges include the stability of these regions and the underlying economic and social factors that are poised to address them.

The forum will also address themes on the digital revolution and Industry 4.0, entrepreneurship & innovation, and the financial inclusion of entrepreneurs.

The coincidence of the WEIF 2019 and the Arab Annual Investors Summit will serve as a unique platform for governments, investors, private sector, academia, financial institutions, civil society and entrepreneurs from the Arab region, Africa and eventually the world to explore possibilities of sharing best practices and experiences in addition to engaging in joint investments and business partnerships.

The Union of Arab Chambers will take part in the event alongside the Union of Arab Banks, Bahrain Chamber of Commerce and Industry, UNIDO Investment & Technology Promotion Office, Bahrain. Islamic Development Bank, Global Entrepreneurship Week (Kauffman Foundation), Arab International Center for Entrepreneurship & Investment – Bahrain, and the World Business Angels Investment Forum.

CEO of CSR Egypt and CSR Arabia Hassan Moustafa seeks to entrench the concept of sustainability and raise awareness about CSR and the Sustainable Development Goals, therefore he set up CSR Egypt and CSR Arabia. Moustafa’s company seeks to realize integration among various sustainable development partners in order to attain the 17 Sustainable Development Goals.

Moustafa has – through his two companies – spearheaded several forums and initiatives to raise awareness about the importance of CSR and Sustainable Development.
