Egypt’s first e-marketing training program for female entrepreneurs concludes

The first e-marketing training program for female entrepreneurs was concluded on Thursday. The four-day program falls within the framework of Qodwa.Tech initiative for empowering women.

The program was implemented in cooperation between the ICT for Comprehensive Community Development Project (ICT4CCD), the ICT Trust Fund of the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology (MCIT), and “She Leads” program of the Innovation, Entrepreneurship and Competitiveness Centre (IECC) at Nile University (NU).

The aim is to train 100 female entrepreneurs from Cairo and Alexandria on e-marketing, to qualify them to promote and market products and services through e-media.

The program featured a range of topics through which women can develop plans for marketing products. This includes analyzing external and internal factors affecting the product, setting the marketing plan objectives and turning them into advertising and marketing material on social media channels, such as Facebook, YouTube, and Instagram, in addition to developing plans for advertising on these channels.

Moreover, Egypt Post held a dialogue session on financial inclusion and its banking and postal services, to support female entrepreneurs.

Egypt Post’s role in Qodwa.Tech is represented in providing digital technological solutions for postal and banking services needed to integrate women and girls from the unofficial economic sector to the official one, to achieve financial inclusion, in parallel with the initiative objectives.

The female entrepreneurs who successfully completed the training course were honored by Acting Head of the Central Department for Community Development at MCIT, and the National Project Director at Egypt ICT Trust fund Hoda Dahroug, and IECC Director and Executive Director of “NilePreneurs” Heba Labib.

The program final stage aims at carrying out hands-on applications on the training content, with creating social media pages for the participating female entrepreneurs’ projects, as well as preparing marketing plans.

Exceptional entrepreneurs will receive training opportunities and special support from MCIT affiliated institutions and Qodwa.Tech partner private companies.

Qodwa.Tech initiative for empowering women was recently launched by MCIT, in the framework of achieving Egypt’s Sustainable Development Strategy 2030, in cooperation with a number of State institutions, the civil society, and the private sector.

The aim is to contribute to empowering Egyptian women and girls socially and economically, using ICTs, with focusing on representing women from the unofficial economic sector, including craft and agricultural industries. This is addition to promoting their entrepreneurship and building their capacities in ICT and digital fintech to achieve financial inclusion and digital transformation and contribute to boosting inclusive economic growth.
