Juhayna committed to CSR, sustainability – Foud
Passant Fouad, Director of the Department of Foreign Relations of Juhayna, said the company has been committed to the concepts of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) and sustainability before these concepts were brought to limelight.
She made the remarks during a session under the theme of one goal and one world “Sustainable Development Goals from adoption to application”. The session – moderated by Founder and CEO of CSR Arabia Hassan Moustafa – was held within the framework of the Arab Sustainable Development Week which was organized by the Arab League, the Ministry of Planning, Monitoring and Administrative Reform and the United Nations Development Program.
She said the company has since its establishment extended donations to schools and entrenched common values that ensured the company’s sustainability.
She added that company worked on developing the farms from which it gets its milk and training vets working there, thus contributing to upping milk production from 12 to 22 percent.
She noted that the company has embraced the Sustainable Development Goals within its strategy which focused on realizing development in the fields of health and environment in addition to supporting youths.
