Juhayna won the Best CSR Initiative award of the Global Business Outlook in appreciation of its campaign “Basiha L3’arak” or “pass it to another”.
The campaign was launched in May with an aim to collect 10,000 footwear for youths to help them continue practicing football sport.
The campaign managed to surpass the set target and collected 12,700 sports footwear that were distributed among youth centers nationwide.
A number of well-known footballers donated their sneakers within the framework of the campaign, including Wael Riyad and Mohamed Nagi Gedo.
Passant Fouad, Director of External Communication of Juhayna, expressed happiness for copping this award, considering it as crowning the campaign which has an extended impact despite its short period.
She also thanked Juhayna’s partners in the campaign; namely the Egyptian Clothing Bank and The Maker company.
Fouad said despite the leverage and importance of the award, Juhyana believes that the real success is the campaign’s ability to reach the largest possible number of youths.
She stressed Juhayna’s belief in the importance of supporting sports and athletes who come at the top of the company’s priorities.
She noted that the company is ambitious that its sports platform “all will play football” – under which the campaign was launched – will be extended to reach more talented athletes of various social categories to secure equal opportunities for practicing football which is the most famous and popular sport in Egypt.
