Mountain View-DMG launches Delivering Happiness Egypt, 1st “happy building” in Egypt
Mountain View-DMG launched Delivering Happiness Egypt in partnership with US-based Delivering Happiness (DH) and CallisonRTKL with an aim to create a happy workplace for employees in Egypt and the Middle East.
Mountain View established the first “Happy Building” in Egypt within the framework of its CSR strategy as it took into consideration the psychological perspectives on how to get workplace to be overwhelmed with positive energy and happiness, especially through choosing colors, the material of glass, offices and carpets.
The seven-story building in the Fifth Settlement in New Cairo included sports equipment amid the offices for employees to enjoy their time at work in addition to music and other entertainment methods.
Chairperson and Founder of Mountain View-DMG Amr Soliman said “We proudly present to you our Happy HQs. Our office was the first collaboration with our partners Delivering Happiness and CallisonRTKL to offer a positive workplace based on the Science of Design and Happiness.”
Meanwhile, CEO and co-founder of DH Jenn Lim said a new study proved that securing a positive and happy workplace contributes to upping employees productivity by 21 percent, reducing staff turnover by 41 percent and increasing sales by 37 percent, thus employees’ happiness is pivotal for business.
DH is a pioneering company aiming to help employers create happier and sustainable cultures for employees, a method which will end up in a more profitable business. DH cooperated with the UAE government in putting into effect the “Dubai Happiness Initiative.” DH also served as consultant to several international companies, like Facebook, to help them secure the proper workplace for its employees to work in a happy and satisfactory atmosphere.
For her part, President and CEO at CallisonRTKL Kelly Farrell said the company seeks to use innovative ideas for designing “happy” workplaces in order to attain the aspired goals.
Several heads of Egyptian and multinational companies attended the launch of DH Egypt and Mountain View’s new HQ, “Happy Building”, in the Fifth Settlement.
