Orange company, one of Egypt’s largest mobile operators,  launched a campaign for supporting sick children at Children’s Cancer Hospital Egypt 57357 within the framework of its initiatives to promote social development under its corporate social responsibility (CSR) strategy.

Under the campaign, a group of Orange employees visited the hospital and shared the sick children several activities. In addition, Orange distributed bags and school tools on the occasion of starting a new school year.
Orange employees were dressed in orange, a color which is symbolic for leukemia. Wearing this color is no coincidence as September marks the Blood Cancer Awareness Month.
Using such bright colors to refer to various kinds of cancer is meant to send messages to cancer patients that their surrounding society is aware of their suffering and wishes them speedy recovery.
Orange Deputy Chairman for human resources Emad El Sunbaty said “Orange’s campaign is part of its all-out CSR strategy and we are proud of our employees’ enthusiasm to participate in the campaign which is meant to spread happiness among sick children at the commencement of the new school year.”

“We are aware of the importance of psychological support for cancer patients to encourage them to continue resisting this disease until defeating it. This is the motive behind Orange employees’ participation in such campaigns which contribute to raising the morale of patients in the face of cancer.”
