PepsiCo and the PepsiCo Foundation are mobilizing quickly to provide $1.2 million, inclusive of employee donation matching, in humanitarian aid to Turkey and Syria that were hit by a devastating 7.8 magnitude earthquake.
Thousands of impacted people in Syria and Turkey are facing sub-zero temperatures. The company’s response efforts include:
PepsiCo has also partnered with the Turkey’s non-profit organization Tider to provide food boxes, hot food, baby product boxes, textiles (heating pads and sleeping pads) and power banks.
It also partnered g with the Turkish non-profit organization Ahbap to provide accommodations, container shelters and basic needs.
It also worked to identify non-profit partners to provide up to $200,000 in humanitarian aid to those impacted in Syria.
It also launched a global employee matching gift program with a goal of raising $125,000 in employee donations. The PepsiCo Foundation will match employee donations made to our humanitarian partners (Tider, Ahbap, Save The Children, World Central Kitchen, World Food Program, CARE and more).
As the situation continues to evolve, PepsiCo and the PepsiCo Foundation will continue to explore ways to expand their support for impacted associates and communities in the days ahead.
