Hassan Moustafa, the CEO of CSR Egypt and Chairman of the 13th Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) and Sustainable Development (13th CSR Forum), called for holding an annual medical conference focusing on children’s health.

The Commercial International Bank (CIB), CSR Egypt and government partners will team up for holding the annual conference as taking care of children’s health is not a luxury, it is, however, pivotal for the development process and the Sustainable Development Goals, Moustafa said in recommendations at the end of the 13th CSR Forum which kick off on Thursday in Egypt’s Red Sea resort city of Hurghada.

Meanwhile, he urged spearheading several development initiatives in various domains and mobilizing efforts to proceed with the march of development.

He called for bolstering partnerships among the government, the private sector and civil community, especially in the fields of environment and confronting the climate change impact.

Moustafa called for giving due attention to several axes, including education, spreading awareness and focusing on righteous environmental practices of the private sector companies and state institutions.

He also exhorted getting the private sector to adhere to environmental standards and offering its incentives to stave off environment-polluting industries.

The CSR Egypt chief said the government considers private sector’s institutions as the locomotive of development, underlining the importance of upping the efficiency of the private sector and financial institutions, especially through training, in order to ensure sustainability while achieving profits.
